Chocolate “Birthday”

Ingredients

    • 36 Chocolate Spoons
    • Chocolate Cake
    • 1 cup AP Flour
    • 1 cup Sugar
    • ⅓ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
    • 1 T Baking Powder
    • ½ T Baking Soda
    • ½ T Salt
    • 1 T Expresso Powder
    • ½ Cup Milk
    • ¼ Cup Vegetable Oil
    • 1 Large Egg
    • 1 T Vanilla Extract
    • ½ Cup Boiling Water


    • Green Buttercream Frosting
    • ½ T Turbinado Cane Sugar
    • Wax Candles

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    • Spray 2 “NY Cake Silicone Oval 16 cavities – found on Amazon” with Baking Spray 
    • Mix dry ingredients in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment until thoroughly combined
    • Add Milk, Oil, Egg, and Vanilla until fully incorporated
    • Carefully add Boiling Water
    • Once fully combined transfer to silicone cavities with a small scoop filling each halfway
    • Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
    • Let cool completely and transfer to a the bowl of each Chocolate Spoon
    • Garnish cutlery with the Buttercream using a  pastry bag with a 5 star tip
    • Garnish with Turbinado Sugar
    • Insert wax candles through middle of cake and light when ready
